This policy explains how Esinam Counselling Inc. handles information provided through our website, including contact form submissions and Google Analytics data. It covers website enquiries and usage information; counselling records and clinical consent are handled separately through our client intake process.
Information you provide through forms
When you submit a working contact or appointment enquiry form, we collect the information you enter, such as your first and last name, email address, phone number and message. We keep form submissions and related correspondence to respond to enquiries, arrange appointments and follow up on your request.
Please provide only the information needed for your enquiry. Avoid including detailed health histories, financial information or other sensitive information in a general website form. Contact us to discuss an appropriate way to share clinical information.
Google Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website and to improve its content and navigation. Analytics information may include pages viewed, interactions with links, referral sources, browser and device information, and approximate location. Cookies or similar identifiers may be used to distinguish visits.
We keep Google Analytics data and reports for website measurement and improvement. Google Tag Manager manages the loading of analytics tags. Form message contents are not intended to be included in analytics events.
Where the analytics preference controls are available, you can allow or decline analytics and revisit your choice using “Analytics preferences” in the footer. You can also manage cookies through your browser. Declining analytics does not prevent you from viewing the website or using contact and booking links.

How long information is kept
Form submissions and correspondence are kept for enquiry handling, follow-up and applicable record-keeping needs. Analytics information is retained according to the settings of our Google Analytics account; aggregated reports may be retained differently from user-level and event-level data. Contact us for information about the retention period that applies to your information or to request deletion, subject to applicable record-keeping requirements.
Service providers and external websites
Website hosting, form delivery, email and analytics providers may process information as part of providing their services. Depending on the provider, information may be processed or stored outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of that location.
Our online booking links lead to Jane, and some pages contain Vimeo video or other externally hosted resources. Visiting or interacting with those services may share technical information with their providers. Their privacy policies govern their handling of information on those services.
Your questions and choices
You may contact us to ask about the information we hold about you, request access or correction, ask about deletion, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request. Any limitations that apply to your request will be explained.
