Maha provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive psychotherapy to individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, trauma-related concerns, grief, and relational difficulties. Her approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), culturally adapted CBT, mindfulness-informed interventions, strengths-based approaches, and emotion-focused therapy.

Women’s and maternal mental health are areas of particular professional interest for Maha, and she is actively pursuing ongoing training and professional development in this field. Her interests include the emotional and psychological experiences associated with pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, motherhood, women’s wellbeing, identity, relationships, and the broader psychosocial challenges that can affect women throughout different stages of life.

Maha’s medical background brings a unique biopsychosocial perspective to her counselling practice, allowing her to consider the complex relationship between physical health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, and social and cultural factors. Maha is committed to providing compassionate, accessible, and culturally responsive care and to continuing to expand her clinical knowledge through evidence-informed training and professional development.

With Maha also fluent in Arabic, English, and French, shed values creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered in their journey toward wellbeing.
